Locations
Your warehouses, stores, pickup points and vans, and the sections, shelves and bins inside them.
Add Location
- 1Fill in Add Location at the bottom of the page.
- 2Enter a Name and choose the Primary Type: Warehouse, Retail, Pickup or Mobile (van or field unit).
- 3Enter the address and phone (shown on invoices printed for this location).
- 4Check Also a pickup point if customers can collect orders here, or Service hub if work orders should default to it.
- 5Save. A barcode is generated if you leave it blank.
Retail locations, where point of sale rings up, are part of the Growth plan.
Add Storage Zones
- 1Open a location and find Add Storage Zone.
- 2Type one zone name per line. Indent lines with spaces or tabs to nest them, for example shelves with bins under them.
- 3Save. Open any zone to add more zones inside it.
Edit Location
Open the location and use Edit Location & Barcode to change its name, type, address or barcode.
Print Location Labels
- 1Click Print Labels (or Print on a single location).
- 2Choose Avery 5160 (30 per sheet) or a plain grid, and which label to start at on a used sheet.
- 3Print with Letter paper, no margins, 100% scale and headers off. Use the fine-tune settings to nudge alignment, and save them as a preset.
Deactivate Location
Click Deactivate on the location’s row. Use Reactivate to bring it back.
Jump to Location
Use Jump to location to search every location and sub-location by name.
Set Superseded Parts Policy
Choose what happens when someone uses a part that has a newer part number (see Mark Part Superseded in the Catalog guide).
- 1On Locations, find the Superseded parts card.
- 2Choose Off for no warnings, Warn (the default) to tell people a newer part exists and let them continue, or Sell old stock first to make the old stock sell before the newer part.
Under Sell old stock first, anyone can still sell the newer part by giving a reason, and the reason is logged.
Old stock is counted across all locations when your locations share stock, or only at the order’s own location when they’re kept separate.
Changing the policy needs permission to manage company settings.
